please advice

Im in a dillema..

I cleared IPCC in May 2010. Im now doing articleship in a medium sized firm.

Following are the issues Im facing

1. The firm has some private ltd companies in its clients list. ( some are huge though, no stock listed companies)

2.Sales tax exposure is medium.

3. There are no qualified chartered accountants or senior articles (CA final stage) working in this Branch.

I wanted to do the audit work of listed and larger public companies.

Im thinking whether is should take a transfer from my present firm. Im confused. My principal is a very nice person. What if the Principal of the new firm is not so good person?

NB : I could join RGN Price as the Partner here has agreed to take me.

I Just got RGN Price and Co to do articleship and joining by december 1, as for my research RGN gives good exposure in Listed company audits and ranges from banking to manufacturing industry,

RGN has 40 articles as of now and 10 partners 6 branches if i am correct, So you will be put initially under a manager and also a supervisor will be assigned to u.

Hope RGN will give you Good exposure in Internal and statutary Audits.

But you cannot expect a personnal touch by auditors in RGN, All will be work concious and will be professional and impersonnal. And this doesnt matter, your concern should be in Learning rather to form a good relationationship with auditor,
