I have just received the CA Journal for april . It clearly says that only 35% of newly qualified CAs have got placement in the placement program for feb-march.(worse , they mention this poor stats with great pride).

 It also mentions that for the next round of placements , recruiters are seeking almost 1600 CAs , while 2900 newly qualified CAs have already registered . So we can easily assume that things aren't going to get any better in the next round either.

 why do you think new CAs are getting such poor placements , afterall they have qualified in one of the toughest and  most prestigious exam , ie, CA Final . Forget top 20 even top 50 or 75 business schools in the country have 100% placements. CA profession claims itself to be a match for MBA(Finance) from premiere institutes and then how can the CA Institute justify this placement stats. What can be the reason for it . Please comment.
