Hello

I am new to this portal. I have following query

I have my own individual PAN No.. However I want to start one proprietorship firm with name say : ABCD. I read that for proprietorship firm we do not need separate PAN no. So in case if I raise a bill to a customer. Will that be on my Firm name i.e from ABCD ? If So then the tds ducucted against it shall be ducucted against Firm i.e ABCD? Will I get Form 16 on the name of my firm ABCD ?

Please Let me know if I am not clear enough ?

Thanks in advance.

You are right,,Your own PAN will be used for your prop. business. However TDS Certificates will contain your name because TDS Certificate generated by TRACES automatically print PAN details on the basis of data containing on particular PAN.

Thanks for your reply,

So in this case Can I raise an Invoice to my customer with my Firm Name ???

Yes, you can raise invoice in your firm name. The TDS will be deducted on your PAN.
