Otp for efiling activated??

Hello,

      Has the sending of the OTP for efiling to avoind sending the ITR-V to Banglore been activated or its still under process?? Its i todays news https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/business/e-filing-i-t-dept-to-send-24-hour-valid-password-to-taxpayers/100551.H T M L but I called ITax office and they said its still not officially announced. Plz clarify.
