as we all know the prices are zooming up for the onion an as a vigilent goverment , it had issued a notification to ban export of onion and waived off the import duty on onion , as far as the consumers are concerned goverment had did the right thing but as by doing this is not goverment had taken a wrong steps , i mean what the the negativity by this notification .

1. is not we are loosing the creditability in the international market , suppose u get a milk from a milk man and from tom it stop to  delivery u the milk , whats u r reation is u want to change the milk man to whom u can trust , are not by stoping export we are doing the same thing

2. again what the fault of the farmers , they earn rs. 100 by selling 100 kgs  now there production comes down to 50 kg due to natural problem  is not they should earn rs. 100 by selling it at a higher cost like the same principal of demand and suppy

3. atleast this time goverment issued a notification with a deedline of 15 jan if not with a deed line as before , what happen till the onion is in the hands of farmers exports are ban and as soon as it goes in the hands of traders goverment use to lift the ban that will make the farmers stupid by selling there products at the lower cost

4. as now the india is bigeest exporter of onion even after a mass producition of onion in denmark are not we playing with the export policy what happen after 15 jan , those use to get from india stop trusting indian exporter and is that then indian exporter get the price as before

just look around every matter before doing that but what the goverment use to do it to look for the vote bank and issue the notification , just take it as it apply in every field of export policy .

Farmers role is very little in price fluctuation ,it is the wholesale traders and intermediaries who manipulate the price using their money power and take all he advantages. Agricultural marketing system in India needs to be reformed to cope with this type of situation .

as far as farmers had been concerned now its not like before after the impmentaion they are use to directly sale the material in the market but yes they are not wholely benefited by it so i think u r not right in telling that farmers are not benefited they will not fully that i agree

It is not only the wholesellers who are enjoying the high prices of onion. Farmers are also benifitted by the rising prices of any agri commodity. Anybody who can hold and time the supply can command the prices. In a free economy Govt. should not control the demand / supply / prices and the farmers like any other market player need to learn the game.

High onoin prices is a normal market phenomena not a emergency situtation. High prices of any commodity benifits the economy in long run.

We can not shut down the stock markets just because some big bulls and business houses manipulate the prices.

agree with vivek , just want to ask dont  by stopping the export we are loosing the creditabilty in the international market and what measures are taken by goverment on that
