Quick Summary
If you've experienced a loss on your SREI NCD investment, you may be able to offset this against other income. Losses from NCDs typically fall under capital gains tax rules, meaning they can often be set off against short-term capital gains (STCG) from shares. However, the specifics of offsetting these losses can be complex and may depend on whether the NCD is considered a short-term or long-term capital asset upon sale.

You can adjust your loss from NCD when you sale. It falls under short term or long term capital gains. You can offset your loss agains other STCG or LTCG.

🙏 Thanks

You can set off such loss against STCG on shares.
Such loss cannot be set off easily
Why so???
