Hello

My friend is NRI and he live and work in UK on work permit (July 12 - April 13) and is an Indian Citizen.
His income is taxable in UK and what he get as salary in his account is after all the deduction of all the taxes in UK.

He got his 3 months Indian salary in his Indian bank account and also have a home loan in India. As he have to file his return with India salary and Home loan Interest and principal deduction, Do he has to include his foreign income which was accrued and paid in UK to his Indian tax return file. He files ITR2.

His income has already been taxed in UK and So I guess he don’t have to pay any taxes again in India.

Also he transfer money from UK to his Indian Saving bank account. Is this OK or he has to compulsorily open NRE or NRO account? The money transferred to Indian Saving account is that taxable or what?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance
