Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question, I will be enrolling for a CA program under direct scheme (I am a B.Com graduate with 58%) next week and have got an articleship from a firm in my city.

But the rule is I need to complete Orentation program (OP) before commencing articleship. I have check the OP registration they had one starting from 04.02.2013 but its all booked, no free space.

Kindly suggest me what I can do or should I start with articleship and then do the OP in next coming batch.

Please Experts throw some light on this as I wanted to sit for Nov'13 PCC exams. Also the rule is I need to complete 9 months articleship before I sit for Nov'13 exams, If I start my articleship in Feb, lets say by the end of Feb, Will I be able to attend Nov'13 exams.

Direct entry students have relaxation from 100hours ITT Training and OP Programme which must br compelet by Normal students before joining Articleship.. Please find Notification on ICAI.ORG

Hi Bhargav,

Thanks for your reply, I know that there is a relaxation for ITT and one have to complete it latest by 31st May 2013. But students under direct scheme who fulfil the percentage criteria can commence practical training after OP, there is the trouble.

Hi Sir

I am planning to register under direct entry scheme have done b.comp 73%ile..Want to confirm that by relaxation do you mean they can complete it till 31st may 2013 to sit in Nov 2013 IPCC exam.

They can skip ITT and OP.
