19 May 2017One of my friend received notice u/s 154 wih demand payment which was not his income.
Actually, while filing return he did a mistake in entering Assessment year due to which the demand has raised and later he tried giving rectification as well.
Can any one help me out how to respond to the notice?

In a covring letter address to the assessing officer mentioning the subject and the objection to the demand stating that rectification under 154 is carried out
do attach both the notice of demand and rectification filed under 154 and while submitting the same take an acknowledgement for your records

So..., i have to write through Income Tax Login and attach the proof of income?
