Noc letter form ministry of environment

The goods in respect of the subject Bill of Entry is  import of which is restricted in terms of Hazardous Waste (Management) Rules 2008 and its import required a specific licenses as well as NOC from Ministry of Environment and Forest.

Agree with Mr verma,  You need to check whether the item is mapped under the above said rule. Normally second hald or used goods and selected electronic items  and selectede gases which harms the Ozone layer are restricted.

gases like R-22 used in AC are restricted.  Even if you import a AC filled with R-22, requires a licence from DGFT.   DGFT seeks MOEF,  Ozone Cell NOC prior to licence issuance.

You can approach their office direclty and seek clarifications.  MOEF Ozone Cell have their  office at  2nd floor Indian Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road New Delhi.

Speak to DC Custom through your Clearing agent if they could allow you to provide a CE certificate to verify the goods being new / non harzadous etc. If you are a one time / first time importer this may help you or else a NOC from MoEF.

I am a manufacturer of mattresses and need to import foam which is restricted. I have an export order for which i am seeking import of raw material to export finish goods. I have advance license which enables me a duty free import but i need to get a license from DGFT for importing restricted item for which i need NOC from MOEF. Can anybody help me how to get this NOC directly or indirectly. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me.
