If you have tally user password, and no master password don't worry..

here is a TDL   for    tally password reset  FREE

Copy below source code into a notepad, name it security (any) use it into tally.erp

Open tally with your user name and password, you will get a menu "reset security" enter/press it.

It doesnt work...what do u mean "use it into tally.erp" ?

and if i have forgotten my tally vault password, how can i enter it first to get the menu?

OPEN NOTEPAD

COPY PASTE ABOVE CODE, SAVE IT NAME IT SECURITY

IT CREATE A FILE NAMED "SECURITY.TXT" save this file into tally folder

open tally.erp

F12 - tdl config - F4 - yes - give path of above file correctly for example

C:\Tally.ERP 9\Security.txt (or  your tally installed at whatever drive and folder)

enter to save

exit from tally, and restart your tally, open a company with your user name and pass.

you will get a option in gatway of tally menu - "RESET SECURITY"

enter it, you will get a msg. security reset successfully.

restart your tally again, now no password for your company. (all password removed)

I forgot the password for one of my companies created. How can i recover that password using your tdl? I copied

to a notepad file, stored as security.txt in tally.erp. now i enabled local TDLs. But nothing happened when i tried to open that company. I dont have a vault password. It again asks for user name and password :-(

Dear All

This code is only for - if you have a user level security password, after open company using known password, you will reset all password to NO, meanse no password at all when next time company open.

PLEASE do not ask for tally vault pass or opening password if you don't know any password, there is several service provider available into market and web, ask there but they charging for it.

i have created security.txt file by pasting above mentioned code as suggested by you.

But in next step it is not working or may be i am not able to do this.
