new to forums, where to begin?

I'm new to this forum and heard great things about the resources this website offers.
I'm not an accountant or financial professional. But I'm told that this place is not just for CAs. I'm a simple business person who owns a partnership firm & a proprietorship firm. & I know very little about legal matters and accounting.
