As we all know that it is advisable to take transfer from articleship in the first year itself, A friend of mine has got into trouble. The first year of articleship gets over on 31st August 2013 and she wants to take transfer. The problem arises when the principal under whom the articleship is registered asks for the notice of 45 days to take the transfer, else extension can be awarded. Now if the notice period is to be served, the transfer becomes a long process and as per my knowledge there is no rule of ICAI which says that notice of 45 days has to be given to take the transfer. Please suggest how to get over this situation. thanx.
