I just recently finished my 12th and decided to pursue a career in CA. I am staying abroad and I was able to find coaching from ICAI chapter only. They told me they will start classes from 1st July but classes have already started for my friends doing CA in India from April. How many months do you need effectively to pass foundation?Also is coaching from ICAI worth it? Many of my friends tell me to take coaching from private centres?

I have heard positive negative both views about ICAI coaching. So I can't comment on it.
For clearing foundation with a good score, an effective study of 3-4 months (8-10 hours every day) is enough.
You can buy online classes or pen drive classes of private tutors (teachers) if u wish so.
Still, u have time, you ahead and make your decision quickly.
Even I have started my classes 2 months after my friends did and end up scoring higher marks than them.
