Need help on Octroi!!

Hello all, is there anyone who can help me on this? My boss is stressing me on this and I'm not sure where to ask...

1. Octroi - Where is the requirement to implement Octroi found? In which Act or Regulation and which section?

2. If my warehouse is in Vashi (Navi Mumbai), where I import my goods from Navasheva and then sell to my customers across India, will it be subject to Octroi? If so, where can I find this in the regulation?

3. If Vashi is also subject to Octroi, where should my warehouse be located nearest to Mumbai such that it is not subject to Octroi (other than Bhivandi)? Again if so, where can I find this in the regulation?
