Hello Hashmi,

What is best for you can be decided only by you. What others can do is only guide you. The rest is in your hands.

For knowing the difference in their Scope(click).

If you consider time, CS can be completed faster.

If you consider exams, ICAI has always maintained their exam standard and ICSI has recently increased their standard and they both have become equally tough now.

Whether CA or CS, keep things in mind:

1. They both are professional courses and people value them highly.

2. You should try doing your articles in a top or large firms(if possible). This gives you a benefit after final. BUT this is not always true as many students have proved from time to time.

3. You should be patient in completing them. Neve back down just because you could not clear an attempt. Be patient, focus, plan and implement.

All the best with your career.

Regards,
Subhash.

Hashmi,

I feel being on science back ground, i would suggest CS more preferable as it is more on corporate law side and comparatively completion in shorter period also Accounts only 1 subject to clear in that too in  Executive stage, from Tax law knowledge, both are euquivalent

Thus Not being a CS but as a friend and With science Background that i too have Suggest to go for CS but as rightly said by subhash, Decision is yours and i can just guide you, be determine and go ahead, future belongs to you

Cheers

Dear Hasini

The choice , whether CA or CS is left up to you. There are cases where by  students from Scicene background score good mark in CA course. CA can engaged in to various profile compared to CS.

ok got it.thank you all for the valuable suggestions.

i have an urge to become a CS, but i do not have any idea how and where to start. As of now ia m working in a firm a california based BPO and i dont want to work like this, i mean i want to grow more and more and want to work as a CS for the same compnay which i am working or any other.

can anyone guide me now what is the eligibilty criteria and age limit and what kind of books do i need to refer. i was told by one person that, in our graduation we should get 60% marks to start CS as a career,is that true? please clarify.i got 58.42% in my garduation.

once again thanks heaps to everyone ..!

Hashmi,

First requirement for CS is graduation, then you will be directly admitted to Executive programme and then to professional.

For your information, there are three stages for any one who joins after 12th foundation, executive and professional.

also so for full information Log on to Website www.icsi.edu.

60 % is not requirement for Starting CS

with best regards

·         Cost and Management Accounting

·         Economic and Commercial Laws

·         Tax Laws and Practice

Module II
(3 papers)

·         Company Accounts and Auditing Practices

Dear Hashmi,

i would suggest you, to go through books given by institute, suggested answers, past papers, some people also go though scanners and material of Reliance publications,

But i would suggest you to give preference in following manner - Past papers,Suggested anwsers and books of ICSI.

Regards

Hello hashmi,

Ther is no age limit for that. Only required a dedication and focus to be a CS. Go and take a CS registration you will get the all subjects module with information about cs and subjects in a special book. you also connect with CCA and ICSI site that also help you to be informative.
