i want to know what is entry load on mutual fund transaction.i have heard in news but does not understand the meaning of it.plz tell me and what is the effect of entry load on mutual fund transactions.

Entry load is the commission that an investor has to pay while purchasing units of a mutual fund. This is a certain percentage that the mutual fund charges to meet its expenses. Certain funds have Exit Load which means a similar kind of comission but its charged when the investor exits the scheme.
