Quick Summary
The MSME Act mandates payments to suppliers within 45 days. Failure to comply can result in significant consequences, including the obligation to pay interest on the delayed amount. The interest rate is typically three times the rate notified by the RBI, calculated from the original due date to the actual payment date.
