Hi Friends....I have a work sheet in which there are more than 30000line items..In one column name of debtors and in other column amt of transaction is given. As it could be with a single debtors trasaction occur several times.. so a sigle debtor name appear several times in that column.
My requirement is that a list containing all namees of debtors but it should be one time.
Please advice how can i do this easily in excel.

Use Subtotal function, you will find it in data menu.
use the filter option from data
also u can subtotal it
first you filter the data by the debtors name and just subtotal it.
sub total or even pivot table can be useful in that case.

Dear Rohit,
Copy the entire debtors list to a new sheet.
Go to DATA > FILTER > ADVANCED FILTER.....
Under Action, Select copy to another Location.
List Range:- must be the entire list of debtors u copied in the new sheet.
Dont give any criteria...
Copy to:- select any empty column..
Check the 'Unique Records only' box... (this check box filters only unique records)
Unique debtor names will be copied to the new empty column which you mentioned in the copy to range.
