Mobile phones - customs charges and other taxes

Hi,

I want to start importing mobile phones into India from the UK and Dubai. All high end new smartphones (e.g. Apple iphone 5, Samsung galaxy S3 and so on). They will be shipped direct to customers from London/Dubai. 

 

Can anyone tell me what taxes are applicable? i have been given quotes from 2% to 4% BUT some people are saying 20%+??

MOBILES PHONES WILL ATTRACT BELOW CUSTOM DUTY.

CVD   -1% ( COUNTER VALLING DUTY)

NCCD- 1% ( NATIONAL CALAMITY AND CONTIGENT DUTY)

THIS WILL BE CHARGES ON MRP LESS ABATEMENT 35%.
