migration and fresh registration

Due to RC cancel status no updation from dept even after countinous mail. Now someone has suggested to go for fresh regiatration if no credit to be carry forward.

But we have already given provisional id to most of our supplier assuming we will migrate. Now if we take fresh registration then whether we will get same gst number as provision as same pan number?
