We are taking bonded warehouse in SIPCOT SEZ, Chennai. Our CHA advice us to get Metrology Certificate as we are Shipper from Custom Bonded Warehouse however, Metrology Consultant said, As you are a Dealer so, You are not require to get Metrology certificate. Now i am confuse, Which person should I heard - CHA?? or Consultant??.. We want guidance on Legal Metrology Certificate is required or not?
in my opinion The Controller, Weights & Measures is the competent Authority to grant Licence for Manufacturer/ Dealer/ Repairer in W & M. Registration as Packer/Manufacturer/Importer of packaged commodities.
Sir,
our CHA suggested to register under "IMPORTER" Category. But, our consultant told us as we are dealer of Packaged commodity hence it is not required.
What to do?
if you are Dealer of packaged comodity in SEZ area does not require .
We are shipper from SEZ..
