A Chartered Accountant or ‘CA’ as commonly known, is a professional who has undergone high standards of theoretical education and practical training, and in the process, has passed final examination in Chartered Accountancy conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has been enrolled as its member. He is a well rounded professional—well-versed in the subjects of Accountancy, Auditing, Management, Accountancy, Taxation, and Information Technology, Corporate and Commercial Laws, Financial Management, General Management and the like areas.
The Curriculum of the Chartered Accountancy Course has been designed, developed and maintained so that the members of the Profession can become the valued Trustees of the World Class Financial Competence, Good Governance and Competitiveness. For details regarding the curriculum, please refer to Annexure 1. Since December1949, the Chartered Accountancy Examination is held twice in a year. The Final exam was held in June, 2009 in 218 Examination Centers spread over 111 cities all over India and 3 cities abroad. Today, the Results of Chartered Accountancy Final exam has been declared. For details pertaining to results of the final exam, please refer to Annexure 2. Annexure 2 contains pass percentage of CA Final. The top four rank holders on the all India basis for the Final Examination held in June-2009 with the marks secured by them are also given herewith.
