Hi Guys.
First of all I would like to appreciate those guys who regularly answer Question of newcomers & others.

I would like to Ask two questions (esp to those pursuing CA & ICWA together).

1)What value addition can ICWA do along with CA course.I keep hearing from people that ICWA has no value now.But somehow I liked the course curriculum.Please specify prospects & industries in which this combination works.

2)How to mnage Direct + Indirect Taxes In CWA -Inter Exam (esp Last day Rev) in 1 day together .I find that is the most difficult subject in CWA Inter.Please advice.

ICWA has value my dear friend. In Most companies the big ones I mean the top positions are occupied by ICWA's only. As regards managing both Direct and Indirect Tax in one day Its just not possible. You have to prepare well in advance only. Anyway last minute revision might add only 1% maximum towards your exam results.

yeah......you are correct.......ICWA hos lost its identity...... cost accountants are facing difficulty in securing jobs in ......seems to be harsh and rude....... but truth is always like that...... however cwa adds value to CA in respect of additional knowledge and nothing else.......

it is difficult to cover direct and indirect in a day ....

I dont think ICWA has no value. Reliance India Limited needed 100 Cost Accountants and they got only 10. So that itself speaks about the Opportunities that a Cost Accountant has. Also Cost Audit will become compulsory for even more industries in the future. So to claim ICWA has lost its value is wrong. Pass that exam and then you will know what value it has

Friend i dont think that ICWA has any value.today most sought after is CA.even CS has a role only as a additional to CA.

I strongly Disagree.... I am doing ICWA myself and I know many people who are much better off than CAs/Cs ...I dont mean to say CA is weaker but I strongly believe that A DEGREE'S UTILITY/VALUE DEPENDS UPON THEN PERSON POSSESING IT.

Hi all.
Thanks for replying.I have seen that many authors are CWAs.And CWA is esp popular in South India.Most south indian and some of the brilliant authors are ICWAs.Well any ways guys tht was my query and U guys now wat? i Have cleared CWA stage 1 which has Tax.So thtnks
