I am a CA Final student coming from CA PE2 background. My attempt is due in November 2011. As of now i have 143 days leave plus aprox 50 days of compensatory leaves. That makes a gross figure of 193 days leave. I want to know how much leave i can avail for my first CA Final attempt. Can i take leave for 5 months ??

You can takes 5 months leaves(AGAR BOSS MAN JAYE TO) but it increases your articleship period
Thanks Mr. Jha for you reply. Just wanted to know that even if i take for months i.e 150 days i have pending leaves of 43 days then how does it increase my articleship period and has institute made any rules for max study leave that can be taken.
Yes U Can Take 5 months leave without hesitation it will not increase u r articleship.
Even the period of exams will not be treated as leave.
ONE WHO IS STUDIOUS AND HAVE COURAGE TO FIGHT AGAINST ODDS THEN ANYTHING ABOVE 2 MONTHS ARE ENOUGH
BUT ONE WHO COUNTS THE SYLLABUS AGAINST THE DAYS AVAILABLE FOR THEM EVEN 6 MONTHS ARE NOT ENOUGH
MOST OF THE BIG4s STUDENTS GET 3 MONTHS LEAVE AND STILL THEY SECURE RANKS
is there any compulsory leave period what Principal is bound to give me as leave for CA final exam? though I have taken only 40-42 days leave out of the total allowable leave of 155 days.
