Leave during ca exams

Training guide states that "The days on which a trainee appears for the examination conducted by the Institute (including holidays) are counted as a period on duty." If an article appears twice for PCC Examinations, a period of 30 days (i.e. 2 attempts X 15 days) should not be counted as leave?? Is there any specific provision on no. of attempts for the same?
