How much will be the late fee if income tax return is filed after 31st July?

Unless the due date been extended beyond 31st July, 2024 ...

If your total income is more than 5 Lakhs & return is filed after the due date, Fee = Rs. 5000

If the total income is less than or equal to 5 Lakhs & return is filed after the due date, Fee = Rs.1000.
