We paid advance to our client in last yr 2011-12 March for exhibhtion received the acknowledgment / bill from his end but lost due to some reason now we find an advance in his name of Rs.80,000/- and also the copy of bill some how. How to closed his A/c.

If you have a good relation with your client, you can request him to issue you another copy, since he will have a copy for his records & book the expense. Else write it off as bad debts & close the account.
