In the assessment year 2019 – 20 the income tax for the period from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019 would be assessed. You must file your income tax returns (ITR) for the financial year ending March 31st by July 31st of the same year. In simple words you have to file return by 31st of July'2019.
