My sir having office in mumbai has given articleship to a PE-2 student who was from rajasthan. In Nov 2010 he wanted to transfer his articleship to delhi due to some reasons.

my sir wrote letter to the institute for termination of articleship and received letter from institute(mumbai) stating that termination request has been accepted.

In this month ICAI Mumbai has written a letter to New delhi copy of which was also sent to the communication address of article in mumbai.(sirs relative) Letter content were as follows.

"we are sending herewith information of MR.x(article) that you wanted. Please take necessary action at your end."

what could be the consequences of this letter.

In my view, it means Mumbai office has sent the article student information as required by Delhi office. Here, it is clearly there that Mumbai office has accepted the termination letter written by your boss. So, the Mumbai office now requested the Delhi office to do necessary action with regard to that student. So, now the Delhi office will review the reasons for transfer and if found within rules, will inform that student that his articleship is being transferred to Delhi. So in my view Mr.X should get in touch with Delhi office or wait for the correspondence letter from them. Let others comment.
