All my relatives ITR1 has been processed this year within 7 - 8 days of filing. My ITR2 (with refund) is taking time, already its 1 month gone. I received AIS feedback submission on high value transactions (they were ordinary bank interest transactions though) for last year which i have submitted.
Is this the reason my ITR2 has been delayed for processing, i.e. are they verifying AIS for previous year high value transactions?
Or is it completely random?

Not random completely, but ITR 2 takes some more time for processing. Wait for one month more.

Few months ago I received a notification that there are some high value transactions from previous year that I need to verify in AIS. They are all ordinary bank interest txns some as low as 100 Rs but still IT considers them as high value!! I logged into my AIS and submitted my response.
ITR2 processing is taking time unlike ITR1 this year, so I wonder if IT is first validating previous years AIS and only then going to process my ITR2 or is it completely irrelevant? The two processes are independent?
That was my query.
Last year even ITR1 took 3 months but this time all my relatives ITR1 got processed in just 8 - 10 days. My ITR2 is in process for last more than a month. So just a thought came if it's anything to do with my AIS submissions for prev year!
