Dear frds / experts,
After filling, excel utility for ITR-U for f.y.2021-22, I came to know it's payable tax along with its interst, and additional tax payable. Thereafter I paid e tax. After that, I filled in the Challan details and generated json file and uploaded it....but it shows " If net amt payable is zero, then u are not allowed to file ITR-U" Actually I paid full amt now. that's why it is showing zero. but portal is not accepting this....plz help me to solve this issue....your earliest reply would be greatly appreciated! plz plz plz .......

Please try again from start to end. Sometime mistakenly, we fill information in wrong place that's why this problem occur.
Sir, I have paid additional tax under the head penalty. Is that correct?

The answer was already posted on this forum.
You have to enter the tax paid details under section 140B schedule instead of under self assessment tax
