When lecture is completed I check once if I understood everything and when I reach my room I start revising I read for 3 to 6 times each line and see if I can give output , at times I don't bother even if I don't recall the answer. My approach is that in first revision I make my brain feel that it has remember something ,even next 2 ,3 revision after few days or months I do the same thing.. But my problem is I can answer when I have book in front of me but I don't remember anything in exam hall. I am from India CA final student I took 4 attempts to pass 2nd stage.. And for problems my approach is I do 3 times and 4th time I solve without help of book.. I don't know why ,iam a failure .this strategy worked for me till bachelors degree where iam top ,now iam all lost What should I improve ? How should I think ? Are there any books that can help me ? All my confidence levels are down , I don't have a route to go ,with this strategy can I pass CHARTERED ACCOUNT EXAM

Probably you must start putting in writing what ever you studied to assess whether you are able to recall what ever you learnt. Important to focus on time management when you are answering the questions. Because, you should develop the art of writing relevant content in the exam what is asked and not try to exhibit your memory skill to reproduce everything you know.

Try writing mock test papers in examination conditions and assess your progress. Take corrective steps in case where ever you went wrong. Try to make best use of your strengths and improve on your weaknesses during the course of your revision, so that you can gain confidence and able to perform well in the exam.

Follow meditation to calm your nerves and be relaxed. On the day of exam you may be either to complacent or excited as you know most of the answers but fail to recall, you need to follow deep breathing excercise to keep yourself cool.

Wish you best of luck.
