hello.. i am ronit agarwal and i have just cleared both groups of ipcc in may 2012.. i have also completed my orientation and itt.. now m looking for articleship.. i have been given a call from a company called VOLITION LLP.. they are a consulting firm who also performs audit..they seeks with expertise consultancy... they mainly deals with XBRL... but i dont have any idea about what is XBRL and wants a suggestion wether i should join this and a brief idea regarding XBRL??

I'm not sure about future perspective after joining this firm however can certainly give you a fair idea about XBRL - eXtensible Business reporting Language.. through which important financial figures and information required to be declared by the companies are tagged and reported to the government at the time of return filing. As far as I know such coding/tagging is used on audit reports and business statements and filed with goverment. Not sure about India whether or not it is followed however certainly followed in other countries like UK.
