Dear Sir, we are exporters of edible salt. We are not the manufacturer but only a trader. We do 100% export, no local sale. Is FSSAI license must for Custom clearance of export shipment. We have been told by our C&F agent at Kandla port that all the Salt exporters are applying for FSSAI license, so you also apply. What is the fact sir? Greetings for Diwali!!!!!!!,

We are merchant exporter based on Kutch - Gujarat, exporting goods to gulf country and also export agriculture produce like maize, millet, sorghum, and other seeds, we are also export salt and salt tablets to gulf country, but export of salt doesn't require any FSSAI License.

For export of salt to gulf country like Muscat - Health Certificate from Food & Drug Department must require & Salt Export Worthy Certificate from Salt Commissioner (Mandatory but no one can do this practice)

so this is advisable that for salt export, FSSAI License does not require.
