Is a regular bcom necessary?

Bcom 4709 views 30 replies

Hello friends,

Over the past few weeks Ive been thinking about only one thing. Thats is wheter to join a college or not. I have many people coming and telling me that a Bcom through correspondance is of no value and another set of people saying that college will eat into my schedule and I would be left with no time for IPCC. Please advice me in this regard. I am currently studying for CPT and awaiting my class 12 results (CBSE) . Thanks in advance. smiley

hi sudarsan frankly speaking if u r doing c.a theb u can go for college but only for 1st year.

after that when u r ipcc will commence u will nt be able 2 go for college(regular)so correspondance is fine.

don't listen to the people who says correspondence is of no value.

u just need graduation THAT'S ALL

ALL THE VERY BEST FOR RESULT & CPT.

Thanks for your valuable advice. One more question. Im giving my CPT exams in june which means Im eligible for IPCC may 2013.. If i got to college will i be able to prepare for that?

dear sudarshan,

Certainly B.com through correspondence does not have as much value as a Regular one. Evening College has the same value as Day College.

While doing IPCC, you may have to attend private tuition classes which will be for say 5-6 hrs.  Going to day college, studying for B.com, going for IPCC tuitions and preparation for CA Exams all at a time is not possible and it is strenous unless you are determined to work hard. Therefore, you may join an evening college after passing IPCC i.e., while doing articleship.

SUDARSAN U CAN'T PREPARE FOR IPCC TO THAT LEVEL WHICH IS REQUIRED BY ICAI.

IF U R DOING IPCC U CAN EASILY DO B.COM B'COZ MANY TOPICS R SAME.U JUST NEED 2 REVISE DURING THE EXAMS

THAT'S ALL

IF THERE IS ANYTHING U WANT 2 ASK JUST ASK

won't there be any problem during articleship if we go for regular b.com?? will evening college be of help then??? indecision really confused

Just find some ""Tom-Dick-Harry type"" college,,, where no need of attendane,,, do regular B.com there..

i agree with anshul

you would miss the most fun phase of ur life and thats college life..........

so attend aclooege which allows you to attend artcleship such as one having morning or evening batch.......

and temme if you get rocking marks in class 12,which can get u admission in top of college.....would u leave it

CRUX POINT:go for regular bcom.........only ca and articleship will make u frustrated at sm tym or other........college would be a welcm break

@ ANAMIKA,,,,, YOUR POINT IS VALID BUT AFTER 3 YEARS ,, WHEN YOU WILL GET OUT OF COLLEGE,,, U'LL GET NOTHING XCEPT A CLERICAL JOB (XCEPTIONS ARE ALWAYS DERE),,,

I THINK WE CA DONT HAVE COLLEGE LIFE,, ALL WE GOT TO ENJOY IS ARTICLESHIP LIFE,,,,,

SO DON'T JUST THINK FOR FUN,,,, ALSO THINK FOR UR FUTURE   AND TRUST ME YOU CAN HAVE SAME FUN WHILE ARTICLESHIP TOO.........

I GOT MANY FRNDS FROM DU,, EVEN FROM "SRCC",,, BUT NOW ALL THEY SAY IS --

BRO M ALREADY 2-3 YEARS LATE FOROM BEING A CA,, COZ THEY DIDNT WENT FOR ARTICLESHIP OR FAILED IN IPCC,,, WHAT T ODO NOW??

SO THINK BEFORE DOING.........

can you name some such colleges in kolkata??? how is j.d.birla girls college???

B.com with IPCC is very much manageable..students now a days take up b.com,ipcc plus articleship..yet they perform well in each field..you are no different or inferior to them...just need to put a little extra effort..join a regular b.com than a correspondence

Dear sudarshan,

Being a evening college student i complited my b.com, . evening college has same value as day college  becacuse exam question paper will be same for both i.e evening and day college.  i suggest you that atleast have a graduction.

Correspondence or regular...............B.com has same value...Interviewer won't ask about it............What matter is knowledge.........which will be evaluated during the interview..............Don't listen to others just choose what suit you best..............
Even in todays world there is no difference between B.com (H) and B.com (P) as there is no preference, for those who has the honours degree, in recruitment examination.....................

you can join govt college in which you can do regular course and no classes held after 2-3 months of 1st yr.
