I wish to inform all the members that The Assam Entry Tax Act, 2008 has got the assent of the Governor on 13th April, 2008 and therefore is applicable from 17th April, 2008 vide Notification No. LGL.3/2007/101 Dt. 17th April, 2008.

Entry Tax in Assam is effective from 01.06.2008 vide notification FTX.35/2008/18 dated 29.05.2008.
Earlier Entry Tax on plant & machinery used for construction of Industrial Unit at assam was fixed as per the investment limit. Is there any prvision in Entry Tax Rule 2008 ?

yes, its applicable from 1/6/2208
regarding recently introduced entry tax in Assam, we would like to know the govt's policy about utlisation of funds created out of collection of entry tax.
