International Seminar on Role of Cost and Management Accountants in Regional Economic Development
An international conference is scheduled to be held on 26th November, 2009 at New Delhi to mark the completion of the Silver Jubilee of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
This international Conference on the "Role of Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) in the Regional Economic Development" is being hosted by ICWAI. As a part of the event we are also proposing for the first time a joint address by the heads of the administrative Ministries of the accounting profession. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka all have incorporated the Accounting Bodies through the Act of Parliament. Mr. Salman Khurshid, Hon’ble Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Government of India has kindly consented to inaugurate the meet. The Vice President of SAFA Mr Komal Chitracar will be the Guest of Honour in the Inaugural Session.
