Industrial training as articleship

Hi, I am a working professional and am working in a Finance & Accounts department, in a corporate company dealing into providing online business information. I have recently enrolled myself for IIPC through direct entry scheme. My query is that can i continue working in the same firm as an articled asisstant under my manager who is a CA too however its not a CA firm. Or is there a mandate of doing articleship from a CA firm only. Can anyone please advise me more on specifics of Articleship.
