Accounting standards do not directly refer to the day-to-day practice of bookkeeping. Instead, they provide the framework and methods for how accounting should be conducted and how financial information should be disclosed. While understanding basic accounting principles like PPE, accruals, and bank reconciliation statements is helpful for entry-level roles, managers typically handle the more complex decisions and valuations.
Mr. Vasudevan is accurate but if you read some basic things like PPE, accruals and BRS, it is helpful in a job. The decisions and valuations will be done by managers.
