hey frnds for the a.y.2010-11 i forgot to file return and refund amount comes large so now what remedy is available..??pls.help me....

To claim the Refund, you have to file the return before due date. As per my knowledge there is no remedies available after due date. So, now u cannot claim the refund.

EVEN U CANNNOT FILE RETURN FOR THAT ASSESMENT YEAR2010-10,U CAN FILE BELATED RETURN WITH IN ONE YEAR FROM THE RELEVANT ASSESMENT YEAR..
SO IF U HAVE TO GET REFUND FOR FY2010-11 MEANS U CAN FILE RETURN AND GET REFUND,IF U WANT TO FILE RETURN FOR FY 2010-11

SO DOWNLOAD ITR FORM (EXCEL UTILITY)APPLICABLE TO YOU FROM WWW.INCOMETAXINDIAEFILING.COM
CONVERT IT TO XML FORM AND UPLOAD IT
CHECK TWISE THAT U HAVE CORRECTLY MENTIONED YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER,MICR CODE,AND TYPE OF ACCOUNT(SB/CA),AND GIVE INSTRUCTION AS (FUNDS DEPOSITED DIRECTLY TO BANK ACCOUNT)

You are absolutely right...
There is no need to go any CA firm.. Just Log-in with your credential download appreciate form convert it into XML and upload the file with the Fine amount... through www.incometaxindia.gov.in you will acknowledge for the same and will intimate at the time of refunded to your account but double check with the Bank account details...

u can not file belated retuen...b`cos time limit of 1 year from end of A/Y 2010-11 expires on 31.03.2012..!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a also want to know whether any remedy is avialable to assesse in your case!!!!!!!!
