Hi there,

i am totaly confused regarding the method(TABULAR FORM) to use for computation  of income under head Profits And Gains From Business & Proffession(PGBP).

I am refering Girish Ahuja Sirs' book and method given there for computation just passed way above from my head and i really dont know which method to use now. The method which i used/learned earlier was like this :

NET PROFIT AS PER Profit & Loss(P&L) A/c

Add: Income allowed under head PGBP but not included in P&L A/c

Less: Income included in P/L A/c but not allowed U/h PGBP

Add: Expenses deducted in P&L A/c but not allowed U/h PGBP

Less: Expenses allowed U/h PGBP but not included in P&L A/c

= INCOME UNDER HEAD Profits And Gains From Business And Proffession

I am confused regarding the method+presentation given in Girish Ahuja Sirs' book.

Can anyone please suggest me with the method acceptable by ICAI. please.

To know which method is acceptable to ICAI, refer to RTP or Suggested Answers or ICAI Study Material.

Other mehtods may be acceptable, but it is best to present your answer in the Format as given by ICAI itself.

Hello Friend.

Don't be slave of method or form,In case of computation of income start with Profit as per P\L ac and than do necessary adjustments according to the provisions of Act,The way you have followed till now is correct and there is no need to worry.Conccentrate on respective provisions only,

Thanx a billion tonne tarun & S. smiley

Happy diwali to you both in advance.

god bless

Can you even tell me the answer to this question

WRITE A SHORT NOTE ON IFRS.

i found this question in recent RTP.

Please.

You must totally refer to ICAI material, be it study material or RTP, because it is always better that way.

Answer to your question on IFRS will there somewhere in the "Suggested Answers / points / Hints" as given in RTP. Your answer should be around or as near to the suggested answer given by ICAI.
