Hi, we have started a new online store which only deals with jackets, helmets, gloves,etc.
Right now, Im importing in my name since last 3 months and each shipment is small size like 300cm x 300cm cartoon boxes through USPS and it gets cleared through the kolkata customs office and reaches me in 10 days.
My question is, is it right or wrong ?
Is importing for commercial purpose in personal name corretc process or do I need to register the website as a sole prop company and get a import license and then do my imports ?
And is the import and custom clearance method anything different for individuals and companies ?
right now, I dont have to do anything, The shipment reaches me automatically in 12 days after custom clerance. The custom people do their work, clear it, send it to my port office.
Let me know the process to go for future.
