is mercury import import free in india ?. is there any extra licence required to import mercury. or Any no objection certificate is required at the time of clearance of goods by custom. basically i want to know the procedure for import of Mercury.

I don't think for import of mercury you required any NOC. but you have to declare the purpose of importing.
Normally the custom duty is
BCD : 5%
CVD: 12%
SAD: 4%
