If ur looking for recignition then ofcourse icai but the content of kpmg is much bttr. Moreover you even get job opportunities in kpmg.

KPMG is not providing degree its coaching provided for exam held by ACCA...

ICAI is certification course

I think Kpmg is beter

I Am Also Researching On The Same Question Since Last 2 Weeks

All I Could Get Is.........Course Content And Recognision Wise  ACCA UK Diploma Is Better.

ICAI Fee 30000 (4 Attempts Allowed In 2 Years).....KPMG+ACCA UK = 53000 (Approx)...And Remember Every Additional Attempt Will Cost You 22000 (Approx)

KPMG Just Gives Coaching Classes......Diploma Is By ACCA UK

kpmg is better then icai..in every formats...

Thank you friends for your inputs.

ICAI is conducting the course at Rs 30k plus CPE hours credit

ACCA and KPMG has a tie-up for DipIFR of 75 hours training where KPMG professionals give the training.. The training course fee is Rs27.5k + ST. If anyone wants to get the Diploma from ACCA, he/she has to spend extra Rs 20k as an examination fee. After the training course, KPMG gives "Participation Certificate". 50% of people just take the PC from KPMG and dont opt for exams. I have no idea of CPE hours that will be credited for doing this course from KPMG.

Is just "Participation Certificate" from KPMG and without ACCA Diploma worth Rs 30k?

I want to know what are the career opportunities that after doing this course from KPMG?

Hello, as said earlier by Kumar Ajay ICAI allows 4 attempts... so what is the passing percentage of the exam?? By institute as well as kpmg??

For ICAI , you have to answer one paper of 100 marks with 50% being the passing criteria. After 4 attempts, you have to pay Rs. 1000/- for every additional attempt. The paper pattern has 60 marks reserved for MCQs and the balance 40 marks for subjective questions.

IFRS Course offerred by ICWA Institute is useful or not?

Being a CA for the last 7 years, I regret to inform you that ICAI Certificate course is not at all good. It is objective based and the questions include Fill in the Blanks, Multiple choice, true and false. It does not enhance your knowledge whatsover. In the end there is a small case study. I have done this course and I am still struggling to incorporate IFRS (Ind AS) in my job. So I will not recommend anybody to waste their time or money.

Secondly, IFRS is my passion so I have done my Diploma in IFRS (ACCA) as well by KPMG. Recognition is there and questions are better but if you notice in the last 8 year question papers, the first 2 questions are always on consolidation. Only the figures have changed. And they never ask any question on Income taxes. IFRS clearly states that "each and every transaction or event has to be shown with income tax effect". The strange thing is that I was not able to complete the paper on time but was still awarded the certificate.

I have spent about close to 1 lakh on these 2 courses and I am still struggling with undertanding Ind AS (as India will be one of the first country to implement 2 new standards ie, IFRS 15 - revenue and IFRS 9). Understanding meaning of paragraphs is tough but application is tougher. It hasnt added any value to my career just another point on my resume.

Recently I came across this wesbite called IFRS Demystified. There I found vast resources (study material) on IFRS and they are actually helpful for my job (implementation). You can also post your questions and they answer too. You can download the books as well. Most of them are free. You can have a look if you really want to learn IFRS   www.ifrsdemystified.com

Hope this helps

Dear Frnds I have also a doubt in my mind as ACCA Diploma in IFRS and the course content is of IFRS but in india IND AS will be applicable so whether its better to go for ACCA or to do from ICAI who is providing the course on IND AS.

Further Can ACCA course be cleared without taking classes from KPMG i.e. can we clear the same by self study.

Pls help me I am a bit confused....

hi,

wats d difference in recognition between Diploma in IFRS by ACCA,certification course on IFRS by ACCA & IFRS by ICWAI???

Hello Sir,

I am in the process of getting myself register with ACCA for Diploma in IFRS.

They need a experience certificate of two years. I am a CA Final Student and dont have any such experience.

Can I get that certificate signed by proprietor of a Sole proprietorship firm (my relative)

It will be counted or not and will they cross check my experience.

@ CA Sidharth Gupta Hi Sir, Acca's diploma in ifrs requires u to submit graduation degree + 2yrs work experience certificate if u r not a CA. 1. Should this above 2yrs work exp cert. be of a firm or a company? 2. I m not a CA nor have any work exp, so can i use a fake work exp cert. of from one of the company of my knowns. Do they perform cross confirmation about the company mentioned in the experince certificate. As i m in ca final completed my second grup and i wish to do diploma in ifrs simultaneously with completion of ca..for better job prospects in campus placements. 3. I m unable to find good study material for preparation of the exams yet, which are due in december. Do acca provide study material on registration. 4. They require the relevant documents to be send by post..is it so? 5. I hv completed my graduation from rajasthan university. Does it amounts to one of the aprroved universities for acca. Can u please help me out with this?
