A UK BASED COMPANY HAS SEND SERVERS TO ITS INDIAN SUBSIDIARY WHICH IS A PVT LTD COMPANY. THE PURPOSE OF SENDING SERVER WAS TO GET APPROVAL OF ONE OF MY INDIAN CLINT COMPANY . NOW THE GOODS BEING REJECTED BY US , THE INDIAN SUBSIDIARY WANTS TO SEND GOODS BACK TO UK. BUT CUSTOM DEPARTMENT ASKED FOR IEC CODE WHICH IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH INDIAN SUBSIDIARY.PLS PROVIDE SOLUTION.
you had to import the goods under bond procedure, with indemnity or bank guarantee, then if the goods get rejected, the goods could be returned back.
but once import is completed other than above , the identification of the goods imported and to be returned are questioned, coz customs can not confirm that its same good which is imported.
to resolve the issue you have to get IEC with DGFT and export the goods to UK
