I am the sole proprietor of a firm which provides software services to clients from abroad. We basically use freelancing websites to capture projects and get the projects done through those websites. We do have Import Export Code allotted to us. Do we need to submit any information to DGFT regularly or do we need to re-validate our IEC in regular intervals. In short, what are the things I need to do to maintain IEC so that it remains valid. Please let me know.

As IEC is issued by DGFT you do not have to inform them regularly or get it re-validated or anything.
DGFT , RLA, ISSUE THE IMPORT EXPORT CODE , BESIDES IT YOU ALSO REGISTERED IN FIEO / HRRDWARE EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL for TAKEN INCENTIVE THROUGH GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.

i wanted to infrom you that if any exporter firm which turnover is not exceed 15 crore , IN THE THREE PRECEDING FINANCIAL YEAR can aviail, MARKETING DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE , FOR PARTICCIPATE IN TRADE FAIR IN BELOW MENTIONED AREA FOR AS PER CRITERIA BELOW (ii)Assistance would be permissible on travel expenses by air, in economy excursion class fair and/or charges of the built up furnished stall. This would, however, be subject to an upper ceiling mentioned in the table per tour.
