Hi friends, there is good news for those who have passed cwa inter in Dec 07. You don't have to take up the practical training. Those students who have registered  for cwa inter from 1st Jan 08 onwards have to do the training. Moreover you can also sit for your finals in Dec 08.

If you have any doubts, ask me.

Hi Gurdip,

I completed my cwa inter exam in Dec'07. plese tell me details about CWA - Final. (How much fees? cut - off date for registration? etc.........)

My E.mail ID is rasridevi @ yahoo.com

Hi Vishal, sorry for being late. I will try to answer your query in brief.

  • As I wrote earlier, if you register for cwa inter after Jan 08, you will have to take up the training. However as you are already working in a psu, you have to undergo the training for a minimum of 6 months as apperent from the prospectus issued by the instiitute.
  • It's surprising but it's true that there are no exemptions for a student who has passed CA.
  • Yes, you will have to clear the eligibility test if you take up postal coaching. If you have more thn 60% in B.Com then you will have to clear 2 papers each for each subject, else all four.
  • If you register in Mar 08, clear your postals & undergo the computer training in time , your first attempt will be in Dec 08.
  • If you finish of everything in time, it would take you a minimum of 2 years to complete it.

I hope I have been able to answer your query. For further details visit www.myicwai.com

Hi Sridevi, sorry for being late. The admission fee for finals is Rs.9000. You don't have to undergo any computer training as in the old syllabus. If you take admission before 26th June 08 and complete your clearence papers by 31st August, you can sit for the Dec 08 exams.

hiiiiiii  ,

i am a student of ca (inter).i want to join icwa. ca.

can u tell me that is there any nw syllabus rule for foundation exam????????

thnks 4 telling in advance

hi just now i applied for my foundation exam. should i under go practical training after completing my foundation,or what else i can do

Hi Sanjay, I haven't gone through the syllabus of Foundation yet, but the subjects are preety much the same. One good thing about the new syllabus is that they have alloted % to each topic in each subject. This will really help you to understand the importance of the topic and help you to prepare better for your exams.

Hi Akash, after you complete your foundation, get yourself registered for inter. It is only after you register for inter , you can start your practical training ,which will be valid.

Dear Gurdip

Hi

I need your attention on my query that I am a registered student of ICWAI and yet to clear my one group of Inter for which I am to appear in June 2008. Tell me as if I am required to undergo any sort of training.

Gourav

Further tell me about the Registration Procedure.

Hi Gurudip:

Thanks for helping us. i completed ICWAI inter in Dec'2007 and my registration is prior to Jan'2008. I am post-graduate(MBA), now i need your advice to choose postal coaching Vs oral coaching for DEc'2008 final exams.

From your mail i understand that i can write 2 papers for subject to obtain coaching completion certificate. since i am working, i would ideally choose postal. But from your expertise, can you please suggest, which is the ideal one for me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Srinivas

Hi Srinivas, you told me that you are working. In that case it would be better for you to go for  the postals. However I don't know much about their oral coaching, but if you can manage the subjects on your own and with the help of some good reference books, then you should  choose postals.

Hi Gourav, you have already registered  yourself in cwa inter prior 1st Jan 08, after you pass your remaining group you have to take admission in finals( i.e your reg. no. of inter will be used for your final also).

As I have been told in the Institute and is apparent from the prospectus, you don't have to do the training.

Thank you Gurdip.........
