Since you have some background in Finance, having specialised in Finance for MBA, you need not start from the Foundation Course, instead can start from Intermediate. 

There are 2 stages: Intermediate, & Final. In normal stream, you would need 2 years for each stage (if you pass in first attempt itself).

If you are really willing to pursue career in Finance and in Cost/ Work Accounting, then don't bother abt your present lecturer career.  The whole course is conducted from Kolkata (ICWAI, Head Office). But you have regional offices in almost the entire length and breadth of the country, and definitely you would have in Pune too..

My personal opinion is "pls dont go for distance education", unless its ur last option....not just in ICWA, but in any other degree....It would get you in a "not here, not there" position.

Dear Ratheesh, This refers to your adivice to Mrs. Pallavi of Pune on ICWAI courses. While your advice looks most encouraging at the begining and middle, it puts on under dejection as to what is wrong in doing ICWAI course by distance. The qualification conferred by ICWAI is statutotory and has wide recognition in the country and outside. Could you elaborate a bit on your openion though personal. Regards, Kailash
