After the death of X can Y become the Karta of X's HUF.?

Y must become karta.
Does after the marriage of Y can he form his own HUF and remain karta of 2 HUF together.
The meaning of HUF is Hindu Undivided Family, it would be meaningless by forming 2 different. & as such may not be possible also.
